Academy of St Martin in the Field Orchestra Collages

I worked with the amazing Caroline Clark through Handsome Frank to create a series of mixed media collages for The Academy of St Martin in the Fields who are an absolutely incredible orchestra. It was a joy to work on such a fun project and revisit a technique I love but haven't had a commercial chance to use, AND for such an important institution. Some of you may already know that I play the piano and am learning to play the cello so music is a great passion of mine, what an honour :) I believe they're being animated at some point so I'll post a link up to that when I can.
"The Academy of St Martin in the Fields performs fresh, brilliant interpretations of the world’s most loved classical music.
We are known for our polished and refined sound, with performances rooted in outstanding musicianship. And whilst our focus is the Classical era, we are never afraid to perform something completely new. Our founder is Sir Neville Marriner, whose vision and inspiration keep the Academy sound and spirit alive. Today we are led artistically by our Music Director virtuoso violinist Joshua Bell, and the membership of the orchestra who create an annual programme of inspirational and inventive performances. Each year we also work with some of the world’s most talented soloists and directors. We re-invent ourselves from a large chamber orchestra to a small chamber group, so that we can perform the music at its very best.
We are not reliant on any one venue but travel the world, playing a huge variety of venues from church halls to the grandest concert halls in Europe. Our commitment to international touring means our music is equally loved in New York and Nuremberg. Whilst our heritage and roots are in the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, our mission is to bring our unique interpretation of classical music to all parts of London, all parts of Britain, indeed all parts of the World.
We also have a responsibility to the future. So we spend time with young musicians, in schools, in music colleges and with people who are less privileged because we truly believe our music can make a difference to their lives. We enjoy our work and want to enthuse our audiences, re-pay our supporters and partner our sponsors" 'About Us' section on their website

Dove Prints

I have made two drawings of doves that will become a new print. I currently haven't printed a whole edition so if you'd need a particular size, that can be discussed. They could be printed quite large. They're on gorgeous Somerset Satin 330gsm paper and I can also offer a framing service if it's being shipped within the UK. Please email me with any questions contact@sarahmaycock.co.uk

Eat Istanbul

I recently worked with Quadrille Publishing to produce a culinary map of Istanbul for a new book by Harris and Loftus

The book is absolutely gorgeous and chockablock with brilliant recipes.

"Andy Harris was the Editorial Director of Australian Gourmet Traveller, and is the founding editor of Jamie Oliver's Jamie magazine sold in over 46 countries. Known for getting to the heart of some of the world's great cuisines, he fell in love with Istanbul 25 years ago. Seduced by its brilliant street food, fascinating markets and eclectic cuisine, he tries to visit on a regular basis.
David Loftus is a well-known food and lifestyle photographer who was recently voted the 65th most influential photographer of all time. His food photography has been described as 'still life works of art, where the food is just begging to be picked off the page and eaten.' He has worked on books with Jamie Oliver, Ruth Rogers and Rose Gray, and Heston Blumenthal amongst others" - Quadrille blurb about authors

Easy Fantastic

I have been working with Tom Williams & The Boat again on the design for their third album 'Easy Fantastic'. I can finally show you the front cover! We found an amazing woman called Jemma Lewis who makes beautiful hand marbled paper, and blew up about a 2 cm x 2cm area so we could see all the gorgeous shapes.

You can pledge for signed prints of the artwork and posters from their Pledge campaign site, along with all sorts of other great things like mix tapes, t-shirts and beer brewing sessions. You also get a digital download of the album once it's released with whatever you pledge for.

Here is the video for their first single from the album, 'Hurricane' directed and produced by Abbie Brandon

The Three Fishes Pub

Last year I worked with Beach London to make four original paintings for The Three Fishes Pub. Local produce is central to their menu and they wanted to fill the pub with art on this subject. Rose Blake and Kerry Hyndman also made pieces. I love drawing animals and these four had particularly great characters to work with. It's really fantastic to be part of the concept for the pub's new design. I also like the somewhat macabre humour of exhibiting them in a place where they are being eaten!
"The Three Fishes is situated in the tiny picturesque hamlet of Mitton in the rural haven of the Ribble Valley. As the flagship and first born to Ribble Valley Inns, this country pub in Lancashire has become a legend in these parts.  Menus inspired by Nigel Haworth using only the freshest ingredients harvested by our local food heroes. Enjoy regional Cask Ales and an award winning wine list specially chosen by leading wine expert, Craig Bancroft. All of this in a wonderfully relaxing environment for eating out - with al fresco dining in the summer and crackling logs fires in the winter"
