These are some drawings I made in Dungeness at the end of first year. I went on to make a book about the juxtaposition between the nuclear power station and the houses people live in. Definitely one of my favourite places.

What Last Summer Looked Like

I fell off my bicycle last summer and damaged a tendon in my right hand, which meant I had to wear this for a while, followed by a sexy piece covered in velcro straps. It didn't even fix my hand. But it did mean I got lots of left hand drawing practice!

MacMillan Children's Book Prize Entry

This is a children's book I am working on, based on the idea of a boy and a dog being really quite bored, sitting inside. So bored in fact, that they can't even be bothered to look out of the window. If they did however, they would notice that their garden had turned into space, or the ocean with pirates, or a fight between cowboys and indians, or a circus. The pages alternate between inside the sitting room, and outside, with a cutaway window in the sitting room so the reader can see what the characters are missing.
